When buying is actually right.
You'll genuinely wear it five-plus times. It's tailored to you and alterations matter. It's bridal and it's yours — some outfits are keepsakes, not assets, and we'd never argue with that. For everything in that category, the thrift side exists so even buying doesn't have to mean retail.
When it really, really isn't.
The event is one evening. The colour only works for one function (mehndi, we're looking at you). It's trend-led and will date by next season. You're between sizes, pregnant, or it's for a photoshoot. Rent the six hours.
The third option: swap.
If your cupboard already holds last season's showstopper, you may not need to spend at all. Swap, don't shop →
Questions renters ask
- Is renting hygienic?
- Owners state care terms; buffer days for dry-cleaning are built into the calendar.
- What's a deposit for?
- Agreed damage cover, recorded on-platform, returned at handback.
- Can I rent out and rent?
- Most active users do both — that's rather the point.
